Genie-Soft, September 16 - 2004 - BBC's technology TV program "Click-Online" has recently featured a report about the importance of data backup and main related concepts that says it all. The report done by Spenser Kelly mainly tackled the reasons why backup is a necessity in this day and age and why it's dangerous to keep putting the task off.
Genie Backup Manager Pro was among the backup software titles that made an appearance in the report.

Genie-Soft, November 30 - 2004 -Free update for existing users Genie-Soft has released Open File Manager TM 9.4. Among other enhancements, the new version adds support for legacy and non-compliant applications of the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) framework. Previous versions of OFM supported only VSS-compliant applications, not "legacy writer" applications that are non VSS-compliant. Now, all the features of VSS can be employed without the risk of corrupt data from applications that are unaware of the VSS process.
