Genie-Soft, November 30 - 2004 - Free update for existing users
Genie-Soft has released Open File Manager TM 9.4. Among other enhancements, the new version adds support for legacy and non-compliant applications of the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) framework. Previous versions of OFM supported only VSS-compliant applications, not "legacy writer" applications that are non VSS-compliant. Now, all the features of VSS can be employed without the risk of corrupt data from applications that are unaware of the VSS process.

Additional enhancements and code fixes such as a mass-uninstall feature for Open File Manager's System Component and a reboot option for NT systems was also added for the existing System Component mass-deploy feature. For a complete listing of updates in OFM 9.4, please view the release notes .
