Corporate business |
Genie Backup Manager is the solution for any corporate which has the aim of benefiting its overall profit and minimizing cost and IT complexity, and more important to improve the compliance, resilience, and performance of the IT infrastructure to prevent transaction and revenue loss, and legal exposure.
Genie Backup Manager technology can help you balance these expectations, and also help your IT department demonstrate strategic value to your firm. |
To provide a concrete example of the power of the usage of Genie Backup Manager for means of data safety and security, we describe below three example application scenario: |
- Stand Alone Backup
- Centralized Backup
- Backup for Field Agent
Stand Alone Backup |
In this scenario, is where the job script is saved on the main server and sent to the other
machines, then backup is done directly from the machine to the shared storage media (for
example, SAN, NAS, file server, etc..) available through a physical connected network medium.
To work up to this scenario the machines must have Genie Backup Manager installed on it, and
the server has the job script and Genie Backup Manager. |
Centralized Backup |
In this scenario only the server will need Genie Backup Manager installed on it because it will be
creating backups for other machines.
The users will set the files they want to be included in backup as shared folders, then the server will make a copy of these files and folders to create a backup set in itself and send it to be saved in the shared storage media (for example, SAN, NAS, file server, etc..) available through a physical connected network medium. |
Backup For Field Agent |
In this case any distant user from working field and not connected physically to the server can
backup to the main server through FTP connection which is one of the many ways Genie Backup
Manager supports backup through. Taking into consideration to backup to the main server
through FTP the machine must have Genie Backup Manager installed on it. |
